From the office team to the installer, these people know their stuff and are so wonderful (helpful & friendly) to deal with! We heavily researched the best ventilation system for our home/needs and these guys gave us the most accurate, honest and helpful info that we needed to make our decision, and they didn’t just bash another company to make them/their product “seem” better!.they just say the facts of how the SAYR system is etc. Fast easy service from deposit to install, even contacted me when able to install a couple days earlier which was great! The installer was very helpful and even vacuumed under my couch which was full of kids mess when he was cleaning up his mess! The SAYR system has been absolutely brilliant!! Installing it in the middle of winter in our 3yr old home we didn’t expect to notice a huge difference right away. However we DID notice a massive difference! Not only are the windows dry most mornings (still a little on the real frosty mornings which I can see is going in time as the home dries out) but the air in our home doesn’t smell stale, I can heat the home a few degrees cooler and yet it feels warm (coming from someone who seriously feels the cold) and my kids bedding no longer feels cold/damp to touch (am truly amazed that all this time my kids bedding was actually really damp). Love how the whole SAYR system works, the way it runs and the control panel. I have lived in a few homes with DVS and we are definitely glad we went with SAYR – if we ever move homes we will be coming right back to you guys for another SAYR system – best investment for our home! Im rating this experience for 2 reasons, firstly the ventilation unit has made an immediate difference in my home (dry windows after 24 hours in my living room, previously they were dripping wet in the mornings). Secondly these guys are efficient and honest. This is the 2nd unit they have installed for me and I gave them repeat business as it is refreshing to know I can deal with people with integrity. We shifted into our house built in 1990 in April but soon found it was quite cold with lots of condensation especially when Frosty. I looked online found Kiwi Energy Solutions talked to a colleague who had work done by KESOL and booked an appointment for a home assessment. Nick came a few days later and gave the house a thorough assessment then worked through some options with us to make the house dryer, warmer and more energy efficient.
With an a few weeks Aileen in the office had coordinated the installation of extractor fans in the bathrooms, 33 old down lights replaced with LEDs another layer of insulation put in the ceiling, two new heat pumps and a SAYR ventilation system which takes the warm air that builds up in the ceiling space and pushes it through the house warming and drying it reducing the heating needs.
The whole team Aileen, Nick, Greg and Stu have provided excellent advice and service in a short time frame. Within a week since instalatons the house feels more comfortable and healthy to live in. Thank you. Willem

Had 17 oyster lights installed by these guys. The service was great, communciation was excellent and I found everyone I dealt with to be extremely friendly. Their terms and conditions were my big draw card.

The team service is fantastic and all staff were all very friendly and professional. Darrell gave an honest and accurate quote and was very open in his communication throughout the process. The installation team were great – fast, efficient and made sure I could see updates on what they were doing. Darrell came in on the day of installation to check the workmanship to sign it off and Aileen was great with administration in the process. I highly recommend working with them!

Fitted flush ceiling lights. Efficient service from initial quotes and information on products to the fitting of the lights and tidying up afterwards. I would recommend and use again.

Not the cheapest of the quotes we got but our friends had used them before and recommended. Can’t speak for the rest but we are totally happy with the service and attention to detail. Polite, attentive, kept us informed and made the renovation simple and fairly painless. If you are budget shoppers don’t bother but if you appreciate old timey service and want total confidence, then I also highly recommend. Would use again.

Installed a Sayr ventilation system. Clean air, clean windows, dry house, heat transfer when available. A remarkable system and exceptional installation.

Excellent work all round by the team. Jamie came round and gave us a good quote and some handy information that other insulation companies had completely missed. Aileen was great at arranging the install. Came to installation day and the lads did a great job, I checked under the floor and in the ceiling after they had finished and it’s a proper job, nicely fitted insulation. Immediately noticed a huge difference in the comfort level of the house. We would usually burn 8-12 logs of wood a night to heat the house, now we can get away with burning 6 or less, so a massive savings in firewood. Drastic reduction in noise from cars going past which I was surprised by too 🙂 cheers team

Following our insulation retrofit, I’d like to say a few words regarding the work Hamish did on our house.

Both times Hamish came to our house, he turned up exactly when he said he would. Punctuality is a good place to start in establishing good client relations. Sadly, it has become quite rare in recent years in the trades fraternity so it’s refreshing to see a young person arrive on time. Big tick for Hamish.

Firstly, Hamish familiarised himself with the house by carrying out a thorough inspection of both the ceiling and underfloor areas to establish what could reasonably be achieved with the installation. Hamish gets another big tick for inspecting his workspace for access and potential safety hazards before commencing work.

He undertook to install the Earthwool material in the ceiling areas first (both stories). He took the time to explain to me what he was doing and why; including using some surplus material on a vertical wall in the lower ceiling space as he pointed out this area would be contributing to heat loss if left un-insulated. Big tick for communication skills and doing that little bit extra.

He then started work on the underfloor area. He quickly used all the Mammoth product and when he re-emerged from the depths, he announced he would be able to access and insulate a much greater area than was originally estimated. This made me very happy as we had thought that only a small underfloor area could be insulated. Another big tick.

On a personal note, Hamish has a pleasant disposition and will happily engage in conversation, but not for any longer than is necessary if there’s work to be done. He is confident, polite, speaks well, has a good vocabulary and an excellent ability to explain things in easy to understand terms. This is another important component in establishing good client relations.

On a professional note, Hamish displays a professional approach to his work and clearly knows his product well. He has a strong work ethic, is motivated and enjoys his work. The quality of his workmanship demonstrates he is driven to achieve his best.

I have no hesitation in recommending Hamish in any capacity should he be considered for promotion within your organisation.

It is with great pleasure that I reinforce my satisfaction with the work that Rosie did today. She is a real asset to your company and I cannot remember anyone I have had work for me who applies herself as fully to the job in hand, As soon as she arrived she went to work immediately on what would have been a very unpleasant situation removing the foil from the small space under the floorboards. It was a big job and she just went quietly at it until it was removed and then installed the Mammoth insulation.

When this was completed several hours later, she quickly started to get on with the ceiling insulation. A very heavy job with those bales shoving them one at a time into the manhole from the top of the ladder. Really a job I would have expected a man to do not a young lady of slight build. If it hadn’t been for me insisting that she take a short break she would have carried on regardless. I could tell that it required all of her strength to do this on her own. She worked through her lunch hour without any thought of her own comfort.

I found Rosie very pleasant, polite and friendly, her work was excellent and she left my home in a tidy condition. From my point of view her great attitude will ensure success in whatever she takes up in the future and I wish her all the very best.
