I’ve been really impressed with Andrea’s approach as a self-confessed “stickler for quality”. It shines through in all her instructors and our boys are learning so much more than they have at other swim schools, in just a short space of time.

Honestly, learning swimming through Andrea has given me the confidence to swim in deep waters and be able to look after someone that can’t swim.

I spent my whole life afraid of water, but that’s no longer the case—thanks to Andrea! I’ve felt incredibly comfortable in my classes and have made significant progress. Andrea is a dedicated and excellent instructor.

Andrea cares immensely about her work and the people that come through for lessons. Every interaction I’ve had on a personal level has been amazing, even with the challenging nature of her responsibilities. Over time we’ve gotten to know each other well, and while she’s had her hardships her focus has always been on delivering an awesome experience to those who come to the place of business. Truly inspiring individual. Keep it up Andrea.

We have been very fortunate in utilising the Tauranga swim school services with Andrea. Our son has intellectual disability and through Andrea he discovered his love for the water, with her calm, pleasant and knowledgeable manner in teaching him to swim. The lessons were enjoyable as I participated in the swim lesson also. Andrea was flexible, always pleasant, genuinely caring and her professional swimming knowledge is amazing.

Andrea was brilliant with our kids swimming. We saw a huge development in their skill level within a short period of time, she focused exactly on what they needed to practice to perfect techniques. Andreas teaching ability is second to none. The progress that my 9 year old daughter has with Andrea when she has a session with her is remarkable. She has a knack of relating so well with kids of all ages and abilities. The way she celebrates the wins and encourages the learning in a positive way should be applauded.

Tauranga swim school has been an amazing asset to my family with teaching my children to swim. The staff are lovely, flexible and extremely knowledgeable. They provide a safe space for one of my children with autism and have been exceptional at building that teacher child relationship with my son. Tauranga swim School team has great communication and offer a fair price for their lessons. I would recommend this swim school to anyone and I do regularly.

Highly recommend! Our girls have improved so much since joining this swim school. The teachers are supportive and patient and most of all fun!

My son (6) has returned to 1:1 swimming lessons with Andrea and Tauranga Swim School, as part of his rehabilitation from a severe hypoxic brain injury.

Contrary to his medical prognosis, having defied the odds to survive and overcome his injury, swimming is key to my sons mental well-being, self-confidence, and water safety and critical to his rehabilitation and motor skills development.

We considered three options for his swimming lessons, and on comparison, Tauranga Swim School was competitive on price point and exceptional on service. Above all Andrea was unique in terms of understanding the complexities of my sons rehabilitation needs, physical limitation and potential behavioral issues.

Week to week we see significant and sometimes major gains in the pool, even within the first term. Undoubtedly, Andrea and her team play a life-changing role in my sons rehabilitation and his ability to one day stand, walk and run independently again. The fact the he will also be able to confidently swim is part of a much larger rehabilitation picture.

Andrea and her team at Tauranga Swim School have my highest recommendation and my eternal gratitude for the life changing support. I pray that God continues to bless the work they do, for kids and their whanau.

I was shocked at how fast the team helped my daughter gain confidence in the water shes gone from not even wanting to put her head under the shower to diving,floating and freestyle in just three terms shes loving the water it’s hard to get her out now the team are caring and fun would highly recommend them

Andrea is a brilliant swimming teacher. She has taken me from fearing deep water to swimming a whole lap in it. I enjoy how Andrea is very encouraging and helpful. She’s a really good swimming teacher and I recommend her to everybody.

I’m glad that I have learnt the techniques for my strokes and startings. I enjoy when we do a little game at the end of the lesson. The lessons helped me in my swimming sports this year. I would like to keep trying hard so that I can go up a level.
