Chris Smith Glass started out of a garage in April 1993 by Mirian and Chris, who ran the business for just over 30 years. In 2024, Ben, who started as an apprentice in 2013, took ownership and continues delivering exceptional service to his clients.

The team stand by their quality of craftsmanship and expertise. And they have a fast 24 hour glass repair service as well as a retrofitting double glazing service for timber framed windows.

Retrofit NZ Energy Save Double Glazing is a replacement glazing system using your original window frames.  The team at Chris Smith Glass work with your new or existing timber window frames maintaining the original appearance and providing you the benefits of new Double Glazing.

Chris Smith Glass uses the latest Double Glazing manufacturing technology from Metro Glass and the team is also an authorized Thermawood Retro-fit installer. Which maintains your home substantially warmer than single glazing and allows you to maintain the original character aesthetic of your home while adding value to your property and saving money on energy costs.

The system is designed to fit any wooden joinery and can be used in a number of configurations.

Chris Smith Glass also supplies and installs replacement windscreens as well as balustrades, frameless showers, bathroom mirrors and kitchen splashbacks.

Splashbacks provide a waterproof, stain-resistant surface especially in wet or cooking area and can be colour coordinated to suit any decor. With photographic images or dynamic patterns, you can transform your kitchen bathroom, ensuite or laundry area into a work of art that is easy to keep clean and tidy.

Outstanding service have had Ben and his boys around to fix a few broken windows i called them up and he managed to squeeze me in that day , his boys were fast , clean , and very professional , i also got hik to quote a custom Splash back which will be getting installed shortly

My little sister smashed my window at 10pm, I rung Chris Smith and told them I needed it fixed ASAP. And they were there by 9am the next morning and did a great job. Very efficient and we’ll priced. Will definitely recommend.

Just had Ben and his team change 18 windows in our lodge from the initial contact to the measure and quote they where excellent when it came time for installation they where prompt respectful of the environment done a beautiful job and left the place as tidy as rhey found the level of professionalism exceeded all expectations and would highly recommend
