EmployNZ is a Private Training Establishment with an 18 year history of providing high quality education and training for students and the local business community.

EmployNZ offer courses in IT & Computing, Hospitality & Barista, Sport & Fitness and NCEA L1 & L2,as well as Diploma level 5, 6 & 7 courses in Business, Project Management and Health Management.

We provide Pre-Employment training, Literacy & Numeracy training and specialist mentoring and support
for youth through our Youth Service division.

EmployNZ works with employers Nationwide to provide candidates who are pre-screened and trained in
the specific needs of your business. This means that we are able to support employer recruitment needs with clients who are motivated, eager and pre-trained for employment in entry level and intermediate roles.

We are located in Bay of Plenty and have campuses in Tauranga, Rotorua and Taupo.

EmployNZ is a NZQA Category 1 education provider.

What We Do

  • Businesses Courses – EmployNZ Tertiary Institute offers the following qualifications to domestic and international students. Study with us and experience our unique approach!

    • Diploma in Business (Accounting) level 5

    • Diploma in Business (Management & leadership) level 6

    • Diploma in Professional Management (Project Management) level 7

    • Diploma in Health Management level 7

  • Fees Free Courses in Hospitality, IT & Computing, Sport & Fitness & NCEA L1 & L2 – Our courses will help you identify new directions, assist with planning for your career and give you the confidence and skills to take the next step. Open to all ages – start anytime?
  • Pre-employment Training – We offer two courses to help you prepare for employment, both are designed to give you the skills, knowledge and confidence so you can get the job you want.
  • Youth Services – If you are 16-17 years old and need help with education, training and employment, Youth Service may be able to help you. If you are 15 years old and are having trouble at school or are not attending school, talk to us.
  • Literacy Training – Our Career Pathways class teaches the basics of reading and writing (literacy) and working with numbers (numeracy)

I have had an awesome experience with EmployNz. I was able to gain my NCEA Level 1 with the help of our Awesome and Supportive Tutor Helena. I am glad I chose to attend Careers Unlimited Level 1. I have learnt so many new things and met so many awesome people. Thanks EmployNz!

Signing with EmployNZ Tauranga was an excellent experience from the very beginning. Sally met with me at short notice, quickly identified how they could help and instantly connected me with Melissa Oliver who leads the Tauranga EPS programme. Melissa is “the bomb” – she is able to quickly hone in on what each person in her group needs and customise their learning and job seeking activity to them individually. Her classroom is fun, inclusive, supportive, motivational and inspirational. Melissa goes the extra mile for her students, any question or request for help outside of normal class hours was always responded to very quickly to support my job seeking efforts. Thanks to Melissa and EmployNZ I was placed only three weeks after joining their programme. Awesome

EmployNZ has allowed me to gain six certificates in two years. EmployNZ has given me a purpose after leaving school and has allowed me to know what I want for my future. If anyone doesn’t know what they want for their future, then they should go to EmployNZ and enrol!

EmployNZ is a great establishment that has provided exactly what I was after because I didn’t get my NCEA levels in school. They are not like a school environment and that’s what I like most about it. They treat everyone equally and they are very supportive, especially the tutors. I highly recommend EmployNZ for those who don’t like school, haven’t already gotten their NCEA levels or are seeking employment.

Attending EmployNZ has given me confidences and motivation in finding me my first job . my tutor Josie in Rotorua branch has been nothing but helpful and supportive. been on the course for 25 weeks I gave up up at some point but still a positive attitude .. at the end I have achieved my goal and found me my first job 🙂 it may not be your dream job but you have to start somewhere
