Millin was born back in 2009 with a company called the Housepainters they were looking for a tool to strip lead based paint from homes, that was safe, fast and efficient. They had used liquid strippers, sanders connected to extractors and other mechanical stripping machines to name a few, eventually their search led them to the Paintshaver Pro. They took a chance and imported one. Matt tried it and was convinced that this was the new face of paintstripping, it is safe, fast and efficient. In fact we were so impressed at how good it was we secured the NZ agency for the Paintshaver and formed the company Millin.
Millin was initially set up purely as a web based company to sell the Paintshaver, however this opened many doors with customers wanting vacuums, sanders and consumables to finish behind the Paintshaver. From there they have grown to sell an ever expanding range of products from household brands, through to lesser known independent distributors of fantastic quality products that you do not find in your big retail shops.

In 2016 Matt left the Housepainters and now is the sole owner of Millin. He has have been involved in the trades for over 20 years, he’s built new homes, renovated old homes and co-owned a very successful painting company, this has given him a good understanding of what should be expected of service, product quality and advice. Matt makes Millin different because it is personal to him, if he doesn’t provide quality products, great service or sound advice it is personal.
