We are absolutely thrilled with the quality and workmanship of our new kitchen cabinetry. We are impressed with Jaego’s attention to detail. Thank you to Stephen for making the design stage painless and making helpful suggestions as well as incorporating my ideas. Although our kitchen is quite narrow, it feels quite spacious now with the massive amount of bench space that was added by lengthening the room. The kitchen has fulfilled my dreams and expectations.

Last year Well Hung Joinery modernised the kitchen at our Kelburn house and, recently this year, they designed, built and installed a bespoke sideboard for the adjacent dining area. The sideboard provides much needed extra drawer space as well as incorporating a Miele warming drawer. We are very pleased with both of these significant improvements to our home. In particular, the level of design and engineering delivered is of the highest order. Well Hung’s customer service was also very responsive to our needs. We will certainly use Well Hung again for any future joinery work.

Well Hung Joinery have just completed the design, manufacture and install of our new kitchen, butlers pantry and laundry as part of a major renovation project. They have been brilliant from start to finish. Quality of the joinery is excellent, both the products and build quality and finished kitchen looks amazing. He often went above and beyond with regular site visits to confirm details and or advise on questions/issues we had. Very accommodating with delays (at our end not theirs) in renovation timeframes and getting the space ready for the new kitchen. Well Hung Joinery recently made replacement cupboard doors for my kitchen and bathroom. These were made from MDF and painted in a 2 pack epoxy to match existing joinery. The colour match was perfect.
Measuring for the doors and other panels was faultless, and despite the complexity, was done faultlessly by Stephen. All hardware was supplied, and I was able to easily fit them myself in half a day.
Also, communication from Stephen was always prompt. Much appreciated.

We used Well Hung Joinery recently to install two sets of three pane double glazed windows into our bedrooms and to refashion a large leadlight in our stairwell into a double glazed unit and reinstall it into the existing frame. The old leadlight was drafty and leaked. The new one looks spectacular and has made the area so much warmer. It’s a pleasure to see it each time we pass by it. The varnished cedar frame on the inside complements our surrounding rimu perfectly. The bedroom windows have transformed the warmth factor in the rooms. John, the installer went to great efforts to fit everything well and leave things looking good inside and out. We are pleased we went with fully painted components so we don’t have to organise that work separately. Highly recommend. We look forward to using Well Hung again on future projects.

Had Well hung joinery around to replace my back door and the front doors of my home they did such a great job that I went back to them when looking for quotes for my kitchen.
In the see of companies out there they were the best, provided me detailed baseline cost to start with so I knew what I could achieve in my budget and how to get the best functionality. While unfortunately I couldn’t get the kitchen done when I first got the quote (life got in the way) more than two years later so came back and they were so great updated the quote and worked through all the steps in the process clearly and I was able to work with them in everything. Marty was great and seeing the kitchen set up at the shop before it went into the house was so impressive. Having the opportunity to see it and make and corrections before it showed up at the house was great, we didn’t need to make any but we were blown away as the kitchen exceeded our expectations.
The kitchen is amazing to be in, beautiful, functional (pull out pantry, under oven drawer, spice rack). Details matter to me and they are so detail oriented down to grain matching, the gaps between doors and drawers are all the same. I recommend working with them 100%.

We recently had two large eight panel windows replaced in our house with bespoke double glazed ones to match the style of our historic house. Stephen was quick to come measure and get us sorted. The windows are beautiful and have kept the character of our home while bringing us into the 21st century! They talked us through all the considerations and things we’d need to do for install, finishing and maintenance.

In 2010 and 2011 Well Hung installed double glazing & replaced all opening window sashes in our 1960’s house. They replaced one pane after 9 years under guarantee at no cost. In 2026 when one door seal required replacement they provided the seal at no cost. Well Hung have done a professional & excellent job, with follow-up support. The double glazing cut our electricity costs on 2 heat pumps by over 50%. We fully recommend Well Hung!1

Beautiful work! We got hit by a howling southerly soon after our new windows were installed and it still felt like The Bahamas in our lounge.
